Rappers and gold grills have a special relationship. It’s a rite of passage in order to show off a strong gangsta aesthetic, and it seems the R&B singer Chris Brown is decidedly true to the image. While he had partial gold coverings before, he has gotten all of his 28 teeth covered with gold grills

The rapper recently flexed his 24 carat gold grills which costed a whopping 100K. The grills were designed by Dr. Thomas Connelly, who took to Instagram to show off his work on the artist.

Dr. Connelly explained in detail that the grills are based on a magnetic retention design, which basically allows Chris to speak and sing normally without any handicap.

Even though Chris ended up dropping $100K on his gold grills, the gangsta-aesthetic makes them more than worth the prize. Perhaps the grills will play a strong role in his future music videos. Stay tuned to find out.
