Kayne West has a lot going on right now. DONDA, his 10th studio release, is set to drop soon. He’s already having listening parties, and even threw shade at Kim Kardashian in Atlanta while she was in attendance.

The city of Atlanta really appreciated Kanye West for holding that listening party in their city. The city presented Ye with a plaque backstage after his performance at Mercedes-Benz Stadium according to TMZ. An Atlanta born man, Kanye now has his own day in the city as well.

July 22nd was declared “Kanye West Day” in Atlanta. Kanye’s mother, Donda West, taught at Morris Brown College for almost two decades, and the school’s president was there to give Ye a very special gift. Ye’s mother is now the namesake for a new resolution at Morris Brown College, the Dr. Donda West Meritorious Service.

We’ll have to see how Kanye West’s next album sells, but he’s already getting plenty of hype, especially in Atlanta. He won’t be taking any shots at his soon-to-be ex-wife in the lyrics of this new record, but he still had a bit of shade to sling during the event last night.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
