The Rock and Vin Diesel might have a legit feud going, but it’s unknown exactly how much is just talk. They are in the Fast Saga together, and it’s all about … family. Right?

Diesel recently talked about The Rock a bit, and he said that some tough love was needed. “It was a tough character to embody, the Hobbs character. My approach at the time was a lot of tough love to assist in getting that performance where it needed to be,” the Pacifier star said of the Great One.

The Hollywood Reporter spoke to Dwayne Johnson during media coverage for his Jungle Cruise movie. When asked about what Diesel said, The People’s Champion simply had to laugh.

When asked about Diesel’s comments, Johnson says, “I laughed and I laughed hard. I think everyone had a laugh at that. And I’ll leave it at that. And that I’ve wished them well. I wish them well on Fast 9. And I wish them the best of luck on Fast 10 and Fast 11and the rest of the Fast & Furious movies they do that will be without me.” Blunt can’t resist extending the moment. “Just thank God he was there,” she says of Diesel. “Thank God. He carried you through that.” “Felliniesque,” Johnson says.

The feud between The Rock and Vin Diesel might have caused Johnson’s absence from Fast 9. John Cena stood in Rock’s place as the film’s mandatory wrestler turned actor, but here are two more films left until the Saga completes. Perhaps The Rock will return once again.
