The Suns lost game 5 of the NBA Finals to the Bucks, lose 123-119, but LeBron James made the game even though his team wasn’t playing. He showed support for the Suns, but that didn’t help them pull down the W. In fact, some might blame James for that loss.

LeBron James was spotted courtside during the NBA Finals, and he had a reason to be there. He wanted to support his good friend Chris Paul, whom he calls “CP.” This was something that Paul did for James, and he returned the favor.

“I’m proud as hell of CP. I’m here for CP. He came to my first Finals appearance, and this is me giving it back to him, man. We support each other. We’ve been a brotherhood since we came into the league, and we’re gonna ride and die with one another.”

Following the Suns’ loss, LeBron took a big of the blame. Skip Bayless tweeted out to say that this is what happens when King James shows up to a game to throw his support on a team. “This is what happens when LeBron shows up to root for you in a huge NBA Finals home game,” he wrote.

The Suns fell behind 3-2 in the series after Game 5, and that isn’t lost on their fans either. Now they will go to Game 6, and that could be a very important night. Bayless has been critical of James throughout the NBA Playoffs, even accusing him of trying to take “shine” away from the LA Clippers. It seems that James will continue as a very large target even if he’s not actually playing.
