Matt Riddle Addresses Report Of Goldberg’s WWE Return

Matt Riddle and Goldberg have a bit of a feud going on, but they have never met in the ring. That would be an epic encounter, but it has yet to happen. That fact hasn’t stopped Riddle from trolling Goldberg whenever he can.

Goldberg is reportedly coming back to WWE so he can have a match at SummerSlam against Bobby Lashley. It’s still up in the air whether that battle will be for the WWE Title. Riddle has heard that rumor as well.

During a special Money in the Bank episode of WWE The Bump, Riddle addressed those Goldberg rumors. He didn’t name drop Goldberg, because that would have probably gotten him in deep trouble. He did seem rather excited about it.

“I heard there’s somebody special coming back on Monday Night Raw this week, I’m not going to mention names and start problems. I heard a rumor. I don’t know if it’s true… but if it’s true I’m pretty excited.”

We’ll have to see if WWE ever books Goldberg vs Riddle. Goldberg has a high-dollar deal and is only contracted to wrestle twice a year. It appears that WWE is taking care of that second obligation at SummerSlam.
