Kanye West and Kim Kardashian are still going through a divorce, but he was already spotted several times with a new love interest. Now it appears that his fling with Irina Shayk was short-lived.
West loved the extra attention that this new romance got him. He was seen jetting off to France with her and the tabloids ate it up. According to a source for Page Six, the two are just friends.
“She likes him as a friend, but doesn’t want a relationship with him.”
“She doesn’t want the association that they are dating, which is what would have run in the press if she showed up [in Paris with him]. It would have been another month of news saying that they are dating.”
It was also said that “She went to his birthday party as a friend. There were 50 other people there.” Apparently, there might have never been the romance with Ye that some thought.
The source continued to put the final nail in the coffin of this rumor as they confirmed that, “She doesn’t want to be linked with anyone right now. She is happy being single.”
Kanye and Irina met on the set of his 2010 music video for Power. The two remained friends and it appears that is all they still are at this point.
