The COVID-19 pandemic took over the world last year and has affected every corner of the globe, resulting in countless deaths and bringing a huge change to everyday life.

Fast forward a year, people finally have access to COVID-19 vaccines and while many people readily get them, it seems there is still a large section of people who are against vaccines in general and that includes celebrities.

Rob Schneider is one such celebrity and he recently took to Twitter and went on an anti-vax rant, slamming the COVID-19 vaccines and called them “experimental gene therapy.”

“Just say no… And keep saying no. Over Half of the US population is continuing to say no to this unapproved experimental gene therapy!

‘My body, my choice!’ #2ndAmendmentIsForThis.”

His tweets were flagged by Twitter as “misleading” and added a link to a page on “why health officials consider COVID-19 vaccines safe for most people.” This did not deter the actor as he went on to say that the COVID-19 vaccines were part of a political conspiracy.

“We should never abandon our liberal principles and international stance on body autonomy, free informed choice and human rights, and support unprecedented coercion of professional health workers, patients and people to have experimental treatments with limited safety data.

Our Government has told us they plan on going to OUR FRONT DOOR with this. They have lied, had a 2 year fear campaign and lockdown, destroyed middle class household incomes, bankrupted untold thousands of businesses and are now putting children’s lives at risk.”

This is not the first time Rob Schneider showed his disdain for COVID-19 vaccines and it certainly won’t be the last. The COVID-19 pandemic is still running rampant all over the world and it is definitely necessary to get vaccinated as soon as possible and we simply cannot condone Schneider’s opinion.
