John Cena is always getting new opportunities at this rate he is slated to film a new movie in the U.K very soon, but there was some fear that might take him out of SummerSlam. That is not the case.

During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer confirmed that Cena’s upcoming film Argylle will not keep him from SummerSlam. It is unknown how much Cena will be able to work for WWE in the build for SummerSlam, but his planned match against Roman Reigns is still on.

“The movie thing is not a hurdle. Whatever it is, I don’t know exactly what it is, but the belief is that it’s all going down. The match is happening.”

Argylle will also co-star Henry Cavill, Sam Rockwell, Bryce Dallas Howard, Bryan Cranston, Catherine O’Hara, and Samuel L. Jackson. That is a film Cena obviously couldn’t pass up. There was a concern that the 16x World Champion might not be able to make things work, but his scheduled SummerSlam match is going to happen against Roman Reigns.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
