John Cena is headed back to WWE and fans won’t have to wait very long at all. He will apparently be back in the next week and a half.

Cena just wrapped up shooting the Peacemaker suicide squad spin-off. He will be clear to compete again at SummerSlam, and he’s “locked in” to wrestle Roman Reigns.

According to Fightful Select, John Cena’s return is imminent. He will be back on WWE television “at some point over the next eleven days.” WWE is going back on the road and live fans are returning. He is expected to be a big surprise on the July 23rd episode of SmackDown.

Cena is scheduled to appear on WWE programming at some point over the next eleven days, as fans return. Fightful has been told that the working plan for Cena is for him to appear on the July 23 episode of WWE Smackdown, and possibly sooner than that.

As of today, the plan is still for John Cena to make his return on the July 23rd episode. We’ll have to see if those plans change, but his film obligations will not keep him from making a WWE return.
