Dana White Says Nick Diaz Must Fight ‘This Year’ If He Wants To Return

Nick Diaz is a true veteran in the MMA world and has not competed inside the Octagon for many years. Fans have been wondering he will ever make his UFC and it seems that seemed unlikely in the past.

Diaz was present at UFC 261 and even met with Dana White back in April. Dana White even previously admitted that he doesn’t see Nick Diaz making a return to the Octagon.

While speaking to Oscar Willis from TheMacLife, Dana White talked about Nick Diaz possibly returning to MMA. White stated that if Diaz doesn’t fight this year, then he’s not fighting at all.

“We’re working on something for Nick. We’re trying to get the Nick thing done right now. Like I said before, I’m confident he’ll fight this year, but if he doesn’t fight this year, he’s not fighting.”

Tyson Fury recently called out Dana White and told him to book Nick Diaz in a fight. Should Diaz return this year, it is likely he’ll be facing off against Jorge Masvidal in November or December. We will have to wait and see if Nick Diaz does make his return or not.
