The Washington Football Team is having to pay huge for past sexual assault allegations involving high ranking team officials.

The NFL has handed own a $10 million fine after the Washington Football Team, formerly the Washington Redskins, were entangled in a slew of sexual assault allegations. An investigation was conducted and this massive fine was given.

This huge decision was given on Thursday after the league investigated several allegations that high-ranking figures within the team sexually harassed and verbally abused female employees for the last decade. This was reportedly “repeatedly and rampantly” according to TMZ.

15 woman came forward with allegations over the last year to give their story about the mean’s toxic workplace. One woman, former coordinator Emily Applegate, said she was told to wear revealing clothes so “men have something to look at.”

Another anonymous woman alleged that men at the football facility would stand at the base of the staircase and look up women’s skirts.

This is a huge penalty and it is yet another blow for the already controversial football team.
