Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy remains one of the most beloved comedies of all time. The 2004 film starring Will Ferrell and Paul Rudd took the world by storm with its impeccable comedy when it relased.

It would take 9 years for a sequel as it released in 2013, and was met with mostly positive reviews. Since then many fans have been wondering if a third film will ever be released.

According to franchise star David Koechner, a third film could definitely happen. The actor, who plays macho sportscaster Champion “Champ” Kind in the Anchorman movies, was asked whether a third movie will ever happen. He didn’t say it was impossible, but added that fans might have to wait as long as 2024.

“It took 11 years between the first and second one. So 11 years after the second one maybe”

Co-star Steve Carrell also believes he will be ready for a third movie, should everything fall into place to make that happen.

“If they make another one, I’ll do another one. Those are really fun. That’s just hanging out with friends and being silly.”

So it seems fans will have to wait at least 3 more years for them to hopefully see the third movie in the franchise. We will keep you updated on the status of the movie.
