Kevin Durant is looked as the future of the NBA in many ways. The man was even called out by Magic Johnson as the new “man” of the league after LeBron James gives up that title next season. KD obviously has a lot of people talking, but he has to shut some talk down.

ESPN’s Jackie MacMullan spoke about Durant in a way that the Nets star did not appreciate. He had to shut down those comments that were made on the Bill Simmons podcast. It was said that KD wants to win three championship rings with the Nets.

Durant heard that these alleged conversations took place between himself and MacMullan, and he had to shut them down with a tweet.

Once again, I don’t even talk like this…plus I don’t have a relationship with Jackie for us to have in depth conversations about my intentions as a basketball player. I get she plays an opinion based sport but she framed this like we are friends. We are not..

Kevin Durant certainly wants to rack up as many wins and rings as he can, but he had to shut down this statement. KD also didn’t appreciate the idea that Jackie MacMullan projected that she is friends with the famous baller. That was made very clear with his response as well.

What’s your take on Kevin Durant’s open usage of social media like this? Do you blame him for shutting that report down? Sound off in the comments!
