Kim Kardashian Credits Leaked Tape For Keeping Up With The Kardashians Success

Kim Kardashian was unheard of until a tape “leaked” featuring her and Ray J’s escapades. That “leaked” sex tape brought her a ton of attention and now she is crediting that tape for her success on reality television, after her show is already off the air.

During the Keeping Up With The Kardashians reunion special, Kim K was asked whether she believes that her reality TV show would have been as successful without that “leaked” tape. She had to admit that it probably wouldn’t have been as she went on to discuss how crazy her life is.

“Looking back, probably not. I think that everything happens for a reason and I really try to live like that. Every time there’s a crazy scandal that feels like you can’t breathe and how are you gonna get through this, it always is a lesson. Even if it’s a private lesson, or even if it’s just something that we didn’t know we had to go through.”

We’ll have to see what’s next for Kim Kardashian, but she is dealing with a lot right now. She is divorcing Kanye West and looking onto the next chapter of her life.

That “leaked” tape is in her past, but she certainly used all of that attention to make a ton of cash along the way. In the end, one has to wonder how “leaked” that tape was, especially considering how her success seemed to mirror Paris Hilton’s own rise to fame after her infamous “leaked tape.” There is a reason why the Kardashians have such critics claiming that they have fabricated the reality they live in.
