Drew McIntyre Doubles Down On Facing John Cena

Drew McIntyre remains one of the top Superstars in WWE and certainly has a lot of passion for the pro wrestling business. He is a former two-time WWE Champion and was the face of the company during the pandemic era as the WWE Champion.

McIntyre is known for competing in high profile matches and had previously mentioned his desire to face off against John Cena at WrestleMania 39.

While speaking to On Demand Entertainment’s Melissa Nathoo, Drew McIntyre doubled down on his desire to face off against John Cena in a first-ever match.

“One hundred percent, and I hope it does happen. I’ve been around John since I was 22 years old. I just turned 36 last week, I believe it was, and we’ve never had a significant singles match. We’ve actually never had any singles match, which blows my mind. We’ve been in tag matches together, multi-man matches together, and never had a singles match.”

We certainly wonder whether Drew McIntyre and John Cena will face off against each other one day inside a WWE ring. Fans would definitely love to see it happen.
