French Montana’s name commands a lot of attention, but his driver was the one who captured headlines this morning. He was assaulted and robbed at gunpoint while waiting for the famous singer.

Page Six reports that Montana’s driver was robbed at gunpoint outside of the Dream Hotel in Manhattan on Sunday morning. This was days after a man in Brooklyn was shot and killed outside the same hotel.

The driver is just 18-years-old and he was robbed for his chain. His door was opened by two men in black masks who started beating and kicking him while trying to take his chain.

He didn’t want to give up the chain, and then one man fired a handgun blast into the ground. That is when French Montana’s driver gave up his chain and watch to the two men. The ran away and are still at large.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
