Mike Myers, know for the Austin Powers and Wayne’s World franchises, is at it again. It’s been a while since we saw the Shrek actor out and acting. The Love Guru really stifled his momentum in a huge way. Now Myers is ready for his big return and he’s playing a ton of characters.

Netflix announced that Mike Myers will star in a new limited series called “The Pentaverate.” He will play seven different character in the series. The logline for this new series reads as follows, and it sounds incredibly interesting.

What is a secret society of five men has been working to influence world events for the greater good since the Black Plague of 1347? As this new series begins, one unlikely Canadian journalist finds himself embroiled in a mission to uncover the truth and just possibly the world himself. Remember, the Pentaverte must never be exposed!

This series will also feature Ken Jeong, Keegan-Michael Kay, Debi Mazar, and others. Mike Myers is creator and executive producer on the project. Obviously, this is his greater creative vision coming together.

Netflix has agreed to six hour-long episodes for this limited series. We have no idea if there will be more, hence the term “limited series.”

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
