Original: Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather are set to throw down tonight on pay-per-view. It’s always a gamble when putting together a big event like that, because you never know what the outcome will really be. There are a lot of people paying attention to this fight, but are many fans actually buying it?
The pay-per-view costs $50, but Logan Paul’s fans might be more prone to find other means to view the famous YouTuber’s fight with Floyd. According to early pay-per-view numbers they are not hitting a homerun.
During Wrestling Observer Radio, Dave Meltzer said that the advanced pay-per-view numbers for Mayweather vs Paul are “horrible.” That could change with a ton of buys this afternoon, but they are not looking great right now.
“Yeah, you the advanced pay-per-view numbers are horrible. I think that come this week we’re going to have some people really lying, you know, who knows? Maybe 1 million people are going to buy the pay-per-view in the afternoon at the last minute. It’s always possible.”
Logan Paul and Floyd Mayweather will fight, but no winner will be declared. They will still allow knockouts and referee stoppage, because Florida allowed that. We’ll have to see how this fight is received, both by Google searches and actual pay-per-view numbers. They could stand to make a lot of money, or prove that you can’t win big with every Paul Brother fight.
