The Lakers’ NBA Playoffs dreams were dashed as the Phoenix Suns closed them down 113-100. LeBron James has other plans for the Summer that don’t involve him going to the Olympics.

When LeBron James was asked about playing for the Olympics later this Summer, he had to reply that they already made other plans for him. Space Jam 2 is set to drop and that is taking his priorities right now.

“I think I’m going to be playing for the Tune Squad this summer instead of the Olympics.”

“I think that’s what I’m going to focus on — trying to beat the Monstars, or the Goon Squad as we call them out,” he added. “Didn’t have much success against the Suns, so I’m gearing my attention toward the Goon Squad in July.”

Space Jam 2 drops on July 16th and LeBron James has no intention of being at the Olympics when it happens. This was a pretty funny retort from King James and it also let us know that, while it was undoubtedly frustrating to lose, the LA Lakers’ NBA Playoffs exit isn’t killing James’ sense of humor.

Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
