Seth Rogen just broke some big news on Twitter. The upcoming computer animated reboot of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles now has a release date.

The Superbad writer and actor previously stated that he wants to focus on the “teenage” part of TMNT, and it looks like we’re getting a taste of that.

Rogen tweeted out a photo of a piece of notebook paper on Tuesday afternoon. This was filled with various scribbles and doodles in the margins. It looks like it came straight from a high school chemistry class.

#TMNT was the only caption he picked for that photo. Then he followed it up with a separate, much more informative tweet.

Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles… Aug 11 2023 (Leo takes notes like I used to)

Eagle-eyed fans noticed the “Leonardo Aug 11th, 2023 SCIENCE 1” written in the top of the paper. Then Seth made things very clear with that second tweet.

We’re expecting big things from the franchise in Seth Rogen’s hands. If anything, you know that it will be full of his trademark humor. Now we will see how that meshes in the TMNT realm.

With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
