Khabib Nurmagomedov will forever be regarded as one of the best UFC fighters to have competed in the MMA world. He ended his MMA career for good back in March and since then has been enjoying his life in retirement.

Khabib put an end to his career after his match against Justin Gaethje at UFC 254 in 2020. Recently, the legendary Russian fighter was in the news again for apparently turning down a proposed fight with Floyd Mayweather. Khabib seemingly received an offer of $100 million for the fight.

The two have been hinted at facing off against one another after Khabib Nurmagomedov’s iconic Conor McGregor in October 2018. Now it seems Khabib has finally addressed the rumored fight proposal.

While speaking to RT Sport MMA, Khabib Nurmagomedov was asked about turning down the proposed $100 million fight against Floyd Mayweather. Khabib stated that he did have discussions regarding the fight with Saudi Arabia and added that he was offered somewhere around $100 million, but not exactly that amount.

“The enticement is always there. There were such discussions with Saudi Arabia. They wanted me to fight there. I don’t know about $100 million. That was not the exact amount, but [it was] around that.”

Khabib Nurmagomedov stayed true to his words and it seems he has no intention of coming out of retirement for any sort of fight, even if it’s worth a ludicrous amount of money.
