The Rock would see it as an honor to run for POTUS, but Bill Maher isn’t about that at all. He recently unleashed during Real Time on the idea of celebrities running for office.

Bill Maher said that someone needs to explain why celebrities running for office is a “recurring nightmare.” He then said that The Rock, Caitlyn Jenner, Randy Quaid and any other celebrities considering a run for office all share one trait: “malignant narcissism.”

He said that The Rock proved “once and for all that weight lifters can drive,” which was one accomplishment that he did give him credit for. Maher said that they’re not professionals in government, and they shouldn’t be running for office. This was quite a hot take and he had a lot to say.

Obviously, any celebrity running for office will raise eyebrows. Bill Maher held little back during this 7-minute segment. You can check it out below.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
