Kim Kardashian is going through a lot right now. Not only is she going through a divorce, but we also can’t forget about that case of stolen artifacts she found herself involved with. The fact that she was called out for forging her billionaire status as her family continues to create a fake reality is also a bit of an issue. Now she has a possible lawsuit to deal with.
Kim’s staff is asking for money after dealing with years of what they consider “unreasonable behavior,” according to The Sun. Her staff is seriously considering legal action.
This is another blow to the reality star’s empire as she continues on with her KKW Beauty line and so much more. Kim K’s staff are apparently not happy about their working conditions and they are considering legal action at this point.
This news comes after Kanye West was hit with two class-action lawsuits that alleged he mislabeled employees as independent contractors, thus denying them of actual employee benefits. It is alleged that he violated labor laws in the process. It is also alleged that he failed to pay up to 1,000 performers and backstage staff at his Sunday Service shows.
It was reported that Kim’s staff saw that Kanye was hit with a lawsuit and that encouraged them into looking into the same action.
“Since members of his Sunday Service crew sued, other employees have been considering their options.”
“There’s apparently a potential lawsuit in the works against Kim involving multiple employees. They are believed to be domestic workers employed at her home who allegedly may have been misclassified as independent contractors instead of employees.”
“If a lawsuit is filed, then one issue would be how much control Kim and her staff had over them.”
One issue would be to determine how much control Kim Kardashian had over her staff. This might get sorted out in court. Another problem is that a majority of the employees in this situation are teenagers who worked the most they legally could for Kim K.
This could be a case of child labor if they press it. The situation for Kim Kardashian might get really tricky soon. It’s a good thing she’s already studying for her law degree.
