The long-standing rivalry between Conor McGregor and Dustin Poirier remains one of the most highly discussed topics in the MMA world. The Notorious One isn’t one to back down from a fight and also to spare any expenses when it comes to talking trash to his opponents.

Saturday’s UFC 262 saw Charles Oliveira beat Michael Chandler in the main event of the show, as he won via a second-round TKO. He became the 11th UFC lightweight champion. Shortly after Oliveira’s massive win, Conor McGregor took to Twitter and congratulated Oliveira for the win and teased beating him for the title.

Congrats to Olivera on becoming the 11th UFC lightweight champion. Wonder who Twelve is…

While speaking on the post-fight interview, Charles Oliveira addressed Conor McGregor wanting to fight him for the title. Oliveira put McGregor on blast and told him to beat Dustin Poirier first and then make his way to Brazil so that he can put McGregor on his ‘a**.’

“Conor, worry about Dustin, afterwards, we’ll talk about it. Conor, since you’re so tough, first beat Dustin, then come to Brazil and I’ll put you on your a*s… He’s just one of those guys that talks a lot. He needs to beat Dustin first.”

McGregor is set to square off against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 on July 11th in their third fight together. Both of them currently have a win over the other, so we will have to see who will become the definite winner in the high profile rivalry. Should McGregor lose, it is likely he will lose all of his credibility.
