Zack Snyder’s vision which was shown in its full glory in the Snyder Cut version of the Justice League made its way to HBO Max in March and it received tons of praise from fans and critics alike. It was a very long and difficult journey for Snyder to finally release the film.
The #ReleaseTheSnyderCut movement was what finally led to the film becoming a reality, four years after the 2017 version of Joss Whedon’s Justice League released. There are still many fans who want Zack Snyder to continue the SnyderVerse despite Warner Bros not wanting it.
While speaking to Vanity Fair, Zack Snyder discussed how the meeting with Warner Bros would go about and also detailed the first few conversations he had with them back in 2019, which was two years after the original Justice League released.
Snyder revealed that Warner Bros hadn’t even seen his version of the film until 2019 when they all went to his house and watched it for the first time.
I said, ‘Well, can I at least come in and tell you what I think the best version of this would be?’ And so I went in and just kind of pitched them on finishing the movie correctly and ‘Zack Snyder’s Justice League’ and how we could market it and what it would mean to the fans and all that. And then they came over to my house and watched it—no one had ever seen this version of the movie. They were like, ‘Okay, we’re inclined to do it.’
Due to the immense success of the film, we do hope Warner Bros will consider making more films with Snyder as the director. He has already proven that his vision is more than worthy of more sequels, so we will have to see whether fans will get to see more DCEU films from Zack Snyder in the future.
