DJ Khaled is one of the most popular DJs in the entire music industry. His latest album Khaled Khaled was a massive success as it debuted at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 last week. However, it seems Khaled has landed himself in hot water recently.

Khaled recently took to Instagram and uploaded a video of bikini-clad women twerking during the holy month of Ramadan. This has upset the entire Muslim community. The video dropped on Wednesday May 12, which was the last day of Ramadan.

“Getting a lot calls and the fans asking where the #BODYANDMOTION video at , @josephkahn send me the video get to @samlecca . I’m thinking to let go SOON , it’s on @josephkahn thoe send that ! #KHALEDKHALED #1 album in the country! LETS GO ! Oh yeah #IDIDIT VIDEO ALMOST DONE AS WELL !!!!”

Ramadan is observed by Muslims worldwide as a month of fasting, prayer, reflection and community. During the month, both men and women are told to dress in conservative fashion and nothing revealing. The women in the video were half-naked, so there is no denying it didn’t follow the Ramadan norms.

Naturally, a lot of people commented on his post and blasted DJ Khaled. One user received almost 3,000 likes after writing, “Yo khaled it’s ramadan.” Others also went after Khaled.

“Its ramadan my friend ! I think you forgot”

”You’re not following your religion very well.”

“It’s the last of Ramadan. And al Aqsa was attacked again. This is what you post. Unfollowing you.”

“You do realize your country Palestine is literally being destroyed by Zionist and you’re on here posting videos of women shaking their assets on the last day of the holy month of Ramadan??

Khaled has yet to address the controversy surrounding his video but hasn’t deleted it either. Before posting the offensive twerk video, Khaled posted his prayers for Palestinians on Instagram as well.

“Sending love and light and prayers to my Palestinian brothers & sisters and Everyone around the world. M PRAYING FOR PEACE AND LOVE TO THE WORLD , PEACE AND LOVE TO EVERYONE!”

We certainly hope DJ Khaled understands the gravity of the situation. It is likely he will issue an apology for offending the Muslim community. We will keep you updated on this story.
