Smallville was one of the most iconic superhero shows of all time. Actor Tom Welling, who filled the shoes of an adolescent Clark Kent for 9 years straight and showcasing his journey in the show from the young Kryptonian slowly developing his powers, has expressed his desire to play the role once again.

The actor revealed to fans in one of the virtual comic cons which have become a standard in the pandemic that he is really interested in the idea that he plays Superman in the upcoming Batman movie. The film is set in Earth-2, so if he gets featured, it won’t complicate things too much.

Yeah, I think that would be cool. My buddy Rob Pattinson, he is going to be the new Batman. I would love…it would be fun to be the Superman that shows up in his movie, just because he is a friend of mine. Yeah, who knows.

In CW’s Crisis On Infinite Earths in 2019, Welling once again played the role of Clark Kent. He played an older version character, whom Lex Luthor tried to erase using Kryptonite, but couldn’t because he had given up his powers and led a normal life.

While he is dissatisfied with the markings of his efforts to fix Gotham, villains such as The Riddler and Penguin start to make things deteriorate things even further. The film is set for a 4 March 2022 release.
