It’s been 17 years since Blade: Trinity starring Wesley Snipes and Marvel’s very own Ryan Reynolds came out. The trilogy, with Blade coming out in 1998, the second part in 2002 and Trinity coming out in 2004, made strides on the box office and even saved Marvel from the brink of bankruptcy.

However, due to issues with Welsey’s on-set behavior amongst other things, the trilogy was it for the character, until now. Marvel made the decision to reboot the vampire-slayer’s franchise led them to recruit oscar-winning actor Mahershala Ali for the role.

The sad part is however, that fans would have to wait for a considerably long while until the shooting for the movie even starts. The movie has been assigned a time slot for shooting, starting from July 2022.

Marvel didn’t include Blade in their showcase for upcoming cinematic projects, which is owed to the fact that they’re not entirely sure about the script for the film penned down by Stacy Osei-Kuffour.
