First Trailer Drops For Stephen Amell’s ‘Heels’ Pro Wrestling Drama

Fans finally got an official look at the upcoming Starz series Heels, a new take on professional wrestling. This first glimpse of Stephen Amell in action has plenty of fans excited as well.

The Arrow star is trading in his superhero outfit for pro wrestling spandex in Heels. The series, created by Rick and Morty writer Michael Waldron, will show Amell in a Georgia-based story about pro wrestling.

The small town pro wrestling circuit will be the focus of this series instead of any bright lights of WWE. The drama revolves around the family-owned wrestling promotion that two brothers, played by Amell and Vikings star Alexander Ludwig, run together.

Stephen Amell is no stranger to taking bumps in a real pro wrestling ring. He’s worked WWE’s SummerSlam in the past and is good friends with Cody Rhodes. You never know if Amell might find his way to AEW eventually.

This new series is highly anticipated and will also include CM Punk as he makes his return to the pro wrestling ring, at least for this drama. Punk wasn’t featured in the trailer, but he does have a role in the series. You can check out the trailer below.
