Mario Lopez might trade his microphone for bodyslams soon enough. He apparently has interest from WWE to do something.

WWE Hall of Famer Jerry Lawler was on the ‘On With Mario Lopez‘ podcast where the idea of wrestling came up for Lopez. That is when A.C. Slater admitted that WWE is trying to get him to do something. The 47-year-old actor might have some age on him, but he’s in great shape and might just do it.

“Jerry, they’re trying to get me to do something in the ring. For my kids, I think I wanna do it, get in there as a storyline.”

“I’m almost gonna be 48 – I’m in pretty good shape though, and athletic. Any suggestions, any advice I need to know when I get in there. By the way, I grew up wrestling too!”

Jerry Lawler gave his full support of Mario stepping into the squared circle. He mentioned how great Bad Bunny just did at WrestleMania and he encouraged Mario Lopez to do it, especially if it’s part of a bucket list situation.

Lopez joked and said “I wanna wrestle Bad Bunny! I wanna body slam and suplex Bad Bunny!” He might just be able to work something out. WWE is always looking for big crossover names to bring more eyeballs to the product.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
