Nicole Kidman is one of the most popular and versatile actresses in the history of Hollywood and has proven time and again why she is so good. Now it seems Kidman is more than ready to portray the iconic role of Lucille Ball, in the upcoming film Being The Ricardos.
The Australian actress and her co-star Javier Bardem looked identical to the 1950s TV icon and her husband, Desi Arnaz while on set. Kidman looked breathtaking as she wore a sleek blue vest over a blush pink blouse with bell sleeves, and matching blue trousers.
Kidman has been donning the fiery red hair for a while which certainly helped in her upcoming role. According to Deadline, Being The Ricardos will not be a traditional biopic.
Rather, it will be set in a single week in the 1950s, and focuses on the real-life couple as they go from a Monday table read of I Love Lucy to a Friday audience filming. The couple will face “a crisis that could end their careers and another that could end their marriage.”
Other notable actors include Tony Hale who will play I Love Lucy’s executive producer and head writer Jess Oppenheimer, while Alia Shawkat and Jake Lacy will play the show’s longtime writing partners Madelyn Pugh and Bob Caroll Jr. We will have to see how the film will turn out to be once it releases.
