Many fans were eagerly anticipating this year’s Oscars for one reason only and that was for the late Chadwick Boseman to win the Best Actor award. Unfortunately, that didn’t happen as Boseman was snubbed of the honor. This led to a lot of backlash from fans.

Chadwick Boseman, who made a name for himself as T’Challa in Black Panther, passed away at the age of 43 after a silent battle with colon cancer for four years. While speaking to SXM, fellow Black Panther star and friend Michael B. Jordan gave his thoughts regarding Boseman’s Oscar snub.

He stated that an Oscar could never validate Chadwick Boseman’s legacy.

But you know, this is how I honestly and truly really feel about it: There’s like, there’s no award that can validate his legacy. There’s no win that can take anything away from the lives around the world that he impacted. So you’ve got to look at the things that we can control and the gifts and the blessings that he left us, and that’s this incredible body of work and what he represents for as a person and as the biggest one we could really ask for.

Jordan was certainly right in his statement as Boseman’s legacy will never be validated by an Oscar as he has shown time and time again why Boseman was such a beloved actor. Jordan had also previously revealed that he is unlikely to appear in Black Panther 2.
