Lady Gaga’s dogwalker lived through a nightmare when he was jumped and shot before two of her three French bulldogs were stolen. Now we have a big update in that situation.

Gaga put out a $500,000 reward for her dogs’ safe return. A woman returned those pooches after saying she found them tied up to a pole in an alley. That story sounded fishy to the police, and they looked into the situation a bit more.

The New York Post reports that five people, including the woman who “found” Gaga’s dogs, have been arrested in connection with the crime. Some have been picked up on attempted murder and robbery charges as well. After all, Gaga’s dogwalker, Ryan Fischer, was shot and hospitalized for a while.

It is reported that the crew had zero idea that the French bulldogs belonged to Gaga. They were only after the dogs because of their high value on the black market. It is sad, but dog-napping is a profitable business for criminals.

Search warrants were executed on Tuesday and those five were arrested. They were identified as James Jackson, 18; Jaylin White, 19; Lafayette Whaley, 27; Harold White, 40; and Jennifer McBride, 50.

Jackson, White, and Whaley are charged with the armed heist of the dogs. White and McBride are being charged as accessories. McBride was the alleged “good Samaritan” who found the dogs.
