Famous Dex just made a headline, but it’s not how he would want his name to come up on a Google search. Now the rapper is going to court as a man alleges that he stole a watch and lied about what happened to it. Dex is now accused of owing this guy $90,000.

TMZ reports that Dex was handed an expensive watch, and then he stole it. There’s a lot more to this story, but that’s pretty much what it boils down to right now.

The rapper allegedly stole an expensive timepiece and then made up a story about getting jacked as an alibi. That’s what the watch owner alleges.

Someone on social media advertised that he was selling a watch, the exact type of the watch was not noted. They arranged to meet up, but it went south in a hurry.

The man handed the watch to Dex so he could “check it out and take pictures for social media posts.” Then Famous Dex drove off with the watch and didn’t contact him again.

The man claims that Famous Dex contacted him later, and he claimed “4 men robbed him and took the watch.” Likely story, but the dude’s not buying it, so he’s taking Dex to court. According to the suit, he saw the watch on Dex’s Instagram page and then the rapper tried to sell it to a jeweler.

The plaintiff claims he was there when Dex talked to police, and somehow the plaintiff was the one who ended up in handcuffs. He’s suing Famous Dex for at least $90,000 in damages.

For what it’s worth, Dex reported the alleged robbery of the $50,000 watch to police. The robbers allegedly wanted cash and the watch at gunpoint. We’ll have to see if this lawsuit is able to poke holes in Famous Dex’s story.
