Cobra Kai’s Mary Mouser Pretended To Be Co-Star Peyton List’s Girlfriend

Mary Mouser, who plays Daniel LaRusso’s (Ralph Macchio) daughter Samantha, has a strong rivalry against her antagonist co-star Peyton List, who plays Tory. List & Mouser have such a strong sense of their characters that most of the fans end up thinking that they’re enemies.

On an Instagram Live session sometime last year, List revealed that the two are great friends and that while they both didn’t know how to treat each other since they were both playing rivals, they eventually became good friends.

I was like, ‘okay this is a karate rival, like this is what they’re all talking about.’ Tanner [Buchanan who plays Robby Keene] has one. List revealed that Mouser helped her out of a rough patch at a karaoke bar. Someone tried to hit on her at the bar when she felt slightly uncomfortable, and Mouser decided to swoop in for the rescue by pretending to be her girlfriend.

You come up to me and you’re like, ‘excuse me hey honey, come on’ and the person’s like, ‘what’ and you were like, ‘this is my — this is my girlfriend, come on, like, what’s going on. That person came up to you several times, like several times. You’re just like so nice and I’m like alright. I’ve got to be mean for her. This person will be like p***ed off if Peyton’s mean but not if I’m mean. I’m the mean girlfriend. I’m coming over here all possessive. ‘Excuse me what are you doing talking to my girlfriend.

The Cobra Kai stars revealed in an interview to Entertainment Weekly that there’s going to be the All Valley Tournament in season 4. However, the possibility that the two might turn into allies is probably not very real.

I definitely feel like the Sam and Tory rivalry is just going to build this next season, especially leading up to the All Valley.

List revealed later on in the interview that while she hadn’t read the script of season 4, she felt that there’s going to be a certain face-off between the characters at the All Valley Tournament. Season 4 of the show will be available on Netflix later this year.
