Zack Snyder’s version of Justice League effectively fixed all the wrongs that was prevalent in the 2017 theatrical version of the film, directed by Joss Whedon. Fans especially loved Ray Fisher’s portrayal of Cyborg in Snyder’s version, dubbing him as the heart of the film.

Throughout Zack Snyder’s Justice League, Victor Stone deals with various traumatic events and learns to cope with them. Many fans have noticed that for the entire duration of the film, Stone never gets mentioned by his Cyborg moniker and it seems there is a reason for that.

According to Screen Rant, when the film touches upon Victor Stone’s arc, he can be seen as a character dealing with multiple personal tragedies. At that point in time, it would’ve been highly insensitive for any of the characters in the film to refer to him as Cyborg. Referring to him by that moniker would highlight all the trauma he had been dealing with and it would’ve been seen as heartless.

Victor Stone didn’t really meet any of the Justice League members prior to their first encounter, which would have made it even more inappropriate had any of the heroes nicknamed him Cyborg. It is likely that Stone would prefer to be referred to by his real name instead of the moniker as it would be the only connection to his past.

While Victor Stone slowly comes to terms with his new life and responsibilities, it is not known whether he will be adopting the Cyborg moniker anytime soon. Should Warner Bros decide to greenlight more DCEU movies with Zack Snyder at the helm, perhaps we might see Stone embrace being called Cyborg.
