2016’s Deadpool starring Ryan Reynolds became an unexpected hit as fans were elated to see a proper portrayal of the ‘Merc with a mouth.’ It led to a sequel titled Deadpool 2 in 2018, which was also a massive hit with fans.

Deadpool 3 is currently one of the most anticipated Marvel movies, but it seems the film might be a soft reboot as it will be taking place in the Marvel Cinematic Universe. It is expected that Reynolds’ Deadpool character will remain unchanged and the film will be an R-rated Marvel film, which his a rarity.

According to BGR, Marvel studios might be readying two new Deadpool films – the second of which is rumored to feature Hugh Jackman’s Wolverine. Not only that, but the sequel could also feature Samuel L. Jackson as Nick Fury.

It was also reported that Hugh Jackman hasn’t decided on whether he will join the MCU after his Wolverine run at Fox and will take a loot at scripts before deciding anything. A Marvel insider further reported that  Marvel is now looking at pairing Reynolds with Samuel L. Jackson as well.

Fury will be brought in for two reasons. Firstly, he will be connecting the project to the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Secondly, Jackson and Reynolds will undoubtedly have fantastic chemistry that fans would love to see. We will have to see whether the films will become a reality or not as it is still far too early to tell.
