LeBron James Deletes Angry Tweet About Ma’Khia Bryant’s Shooting

Ma’Khia Bryant was a teenager shot by police who she called because someone was harassing her. The 16-year-old was fatally wounded and marks another sad tragedy and more cries for police reform.

LeBron James saw this news and he tweeted out, but then hit that delete key. This received some criticism from fans. When he heard about Bryant’s death, LeBron sent out a very short tweet that he soon deleted.

“YOU’RE NEXT #ACCOUNTABILITY.”

After deleting that knee-jerk reaction tweet, LeBron sent out two well-crafted posts to address this incredibly important social issue.

ANGER does any of us any good and that includes myself! Gathering all the facts and educating does though! My anger still is here for what happened that lil girl. My sympathy for her family and may justice prevail!

I’m so damn tired of seeing Black people killed by police. I took the tweet down because its being used to create more hate -This isn’t about one officer.  it’s about the entire system and they always use our words to create more racism. I am so desperate for more ACCOUNTABILITY

LeBron James wasn’t the only person to speak out in a big way after Ma’Khia Bryant’s death. The Game was also incredibly upset and he made no secret about his feelings on the matter.

James might have needed to delete that first tweet, but he certainly got the right message across with his follow-ups.
