Batista knows how to prepare for a part. His Army of the Dead role caused him to seek out some very intense training with actual Navy SEALs.

The former WWE Superstar is no stranger to training hard, but the SEALs train on an entirely different level, for sure. That is exactly what Dave Bautista needed to get himself ready to take on some hungry zombies on screen.

While talking at Justice Con, Batista revealed just how seriously he took when it came to training for Army of the Dead. He actually trained with the real military.

I train physically all the time. I’ve done martial arts for too many years, more years than I can remember, but we did train with a couple of former Navy SEALs. I wish I had their names off the top of my head, but I can’t think of them… We did do some firearms training with a couple of Navy SEALs. It was really interesting because I learned a lot. I’m more of a hobbyist as far as guns go, but we really did learn a lot about firearm safety as well so it was interesting getting that kind of education from a different viewpoint.

Zack Snyder’s Army of the Dead will be an action-packed zombie fest. Batista will no doubt shine in his role as he does with everything else he takes on in Tinseltown. This part came with some pretty interesting preparation as well.

Years of experience in writing, journalism, and digging exclusive insider info for Ringside News opened the door for a new opportunity for Jenkins. With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
