Jake Paul and Ben Askren faced off against each other in a boxing match at Triller Fight Club last night. The fight was several months in the making and was undoubtedly a big money match, to say the least.

Many fans were expecting Jake Paul to have trouble against the retired MMA star Askren, but that wasn’t the case at all. Askren landed a few shots early on Jake Paul during the fight, but the complexion of the fight changed entirely when Paul started his offence.

Jake Paul knocked out Ben Askren in the first round with relative ease and is now 3-0 in his professional boxing career. The referee called the match in favor of Jake Paul as he decided that Askren couldn’t continue the match.

After the match concluded, the MMA community took to Twitter and reacted to the match. Many criticized the short duration of the match and other fans felt suspicious about the referee’s call to end the contest, stating that it was all rigged.

Even UFC bantamweight champion Aljamain Sterling wondered who paid the referee.

Number #1 ranked UFC welterweight, Colby Covington also thought that the match was a work.

While many think the match was rigged, others feel that it was a legitimate knock out and Jake Paul was simply the better fighter. Here are some of the angry tweets below:
