Comedian and late night show host Stephen Colbert never fails to make audiences laugh with his comic timing and sense of humor. With Taylor Swift set to appear on his show The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, “Hey Stephen” had to come up with the singer shutting down claims that the song was written for Colbert.

In a teaser clip shared by Swift, the singer-songwriter was asked whether the 2008 crush-worthy “Hey Stephen” is about Colbert. Swift laughed and seemingly denied that it was indeed about Colbert.

“It’s just the power of music, Stephen. Good songs, they just make you feel like it’s about you.”

Swift explained how fun it was to re-record the album Fearless again and showed her “old mood board” that got her into the right space of mind for the song.

“Thank you! Yeah, it was really fun to record it again. In fact, to get me back in the same headspace as when I wrote it, I just wanted it to be really authentic as an experience, so I dug out my old mood board.”

After Colbert pointed out the obvious, Swift was quick to point out a standout image in the corner of the board of a slice of pizza.

The Late Show With Stephen Colbert never seems to disappoint even with virtual interactions with celebrities. You can watch the hilarious exchange below.
