The Rock is not booked for WrestleMania 37. There were rumors that he would face Roman Reigns this year, but a lack of a packed stadium changed things.

Ringside News exclusively reported in December that The Rock wants to make a return inside a sold-out setting. WrestleMania 37 will not afford him that opportunity.

It was further noted in the Wrestling Observer Newsletter that The Rock will require a much larger audience to make his return to the ring. That is a big “if” at this point because there is no guarantee that he will be able to fit it into his busy schedule.

Whatever talk of Reigns vs. Dwayne Johnson we were told would not happen this year because IF Johnson wants one more match, it’s going to be a full stadium and preferably Los Angeles.

The next few years could get even busier for Dwayne Johnson. Not only is he involved with a ton of projects from his tequila company to Black Adam, but there are many things in the pipeline as well. One of those considerations is also a run for U.S. President.

We’ll have to see if WWE can get The Rock back for WrestleMania this year, but they will have to make sure it’s a much larger event than this year’s pandemic-altered show of shows.
