Justin Bieber’s new album Justice dropped today, and it didn’t come without controversy.

Justice features an audio clip of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in one of his songs and that irritated some people. They didn’t think that Bieber should be using MLK samples in his songs.

The thing is that King’s family is okay with Bieber. Bernice King tweeted out to let everyone know that they have no issue with Justin Bieber using MLK’s audio. In fact, he is doing a great thing by spreading this awareness.

Each of us, including artists and entertainers, can do something. Thank you, @justinbieber, for your support, in honor of #Justice, of @TheKingCenter’s work and of our #BeLove campaign, which is a part of our global movement for justice. #MLK #EndRacism

Martin Luther King’s estate also must approve of his speeches being used in any kind of entertainment avenue, including that Justin Bieber track. If they didn’t want MLK’s words to be on Bieber’s track then it wouldn’t have made it this far in the first place.

With a history in finance, he broke into the journalism game by writing on blogs and other freelance websites before branching into sports and entertainment news. Being in tune with pop culture doesn't mean it has to make sense, but he tries. Favorite bands include any group from Seattle who formed between 1991 and 1999. 5 Ozzfests under his belt and 12 Warped Tours, but his last concert was a bluegrass AC/DC cover band that was not 100% terrible.
