Avatar Once Again The Highest-Grossing Movie Of All Time

Avengers: Endgame did the impossible a couple of years ago, as it dethroned Avatar to become the highest-grossing film of all time. It did so with a slim margin as Endgame made $2,797,800,564 worldwide while Avatar made $2,790,439,092.

Now it seems Avatar being re-released in China this weekend has helped the movie to take back its spot.

According to a report by Deadline, Avatar reclaimed its title as the highest-grossing film in just one day as it grossed $8.9 million. It is to be noted that both movies are owned by Disney at this point, so perhaps it might not be as big a deal as one might think.

James Cameron had previously revealed that he plans on having several sequels to the first Avatar movie, with the first sequel expected to come out within two years. We will have to see how the sequel will turn out to be.
