The Simpsons is one of the most iconic and recognizable television shows of all time. The show has been on-air for over three decades and is still as beloved as ever before.

Deadline reports that the iconic animated show will get to be on-air for at least two more years. The report states that Fox has renewed the show for two more seasons, meaning the show will complete 34 years of being on-air and a total of 757 episodes.

Show creator Matt Groening commented on the show’s renewal by saying that there are a lot of big surprises in stores for the fans.

Everyone at The Simpsons is thrilled to be renewed once more, and we are planning lots of big surprises. Homer will lose a hair, Milhouse will get contact lenses, and Bart will celebrate his tenth birthday for the thirty-third time.

The Simpsons is the longest-running prime-time scripted series in TV history. For decades, it has been at the absolute zenith of American pop-culture and it looks like that won’t be changing anytime soon.

The show’s current season averages 7.0 Million viewers throughout all platforms and the premier for which was it’s biggest and most-watched return in five years.
