Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James remains one of the all-time best players to have ever stepped foot into the world of professional basketball.

Recently, a soccer player by the name of Zlatan Ibrahimovic called out James for him being so involved in political issues that are prevalent in the country.

Now it seems James decided to respond to the soccer player and he didn’t mince any words as James gave him a piece of his mind regarding the criticism of James’ social activism.

”I would never shut up about things that are wrong. I preach about my people and I preach about equality. Social injustice. Racism. Systematic voter suppression. Things that go on in our community.

“Because I was a part of my community at one point and saw the things that was going on and I know what’s going on still because I have a group of 300-plus kids at my school that are going through the same thing and they need a voice. And I’m their voice. I’m their voice and I use my platform to continue to shed light on everything that may be going on, not only in my community but around this country and around the world.

“So, there’s no way I would ever just stick to sports because I understand how this platform and how powerful my voice is.”

James is very active when it comes to his social activism. He was instrumental in the creation of ”More Than A Vote” which is a nonprofit organization that focuses on the supporting of Black voters. He also opened the ”I Promise School” a public school in his native Akron, Ohio, made for students who are at risk.
