Zachary Levi Says If The Rock Ever Backs Out From Playing Black Adam, He’d Be Up For the Gig

Shazam! star Zachary Levi received amazing reviews for his portrayal of the eponymous man-child superhero this past year. The film was also a box-office hit, despite it releasing around the same time as Marvel’s Endgame.

Levi stopped by at MegaCon in Orlando this weekend and answered a few questions from the fans in attendance at the event. One of the fans pointed out that Levi had played a superhero in both the Marvel (Fandral in Thor: The Dark World and Thor: Ragnarok) and DC (Shazam!) Cinematic Universes.

The fan then went on to ask Levi if he’d be up for a role as a big bad in a Superhero flick. Here’s what Levi had to say to this question:

(h/t for quotes)

For a minute, I thought if The Rock was ever like, ‘You know what? I’m too busy and I’m not gonna play Black Adam’

I was like, ‘You know what I could do?… They’re supposed to be twinsies anyway, just different stylists. That could be kind of cool. You know, cause I’d get to play the really dark version of myself essentially.

The Rock has agreed to play Black Adam in the DCEU with reports in the past even suggesting that he’d have his own stand-alone flick in the near future. Johnson was also one of the producers for Shazam! and even thanked the fans for the support they showed to the film in an Instagram video back in April.

Although The Rock will most likely end up donning the mantle of Black Adam, Levi’s idea doesn’t sound that bad either.
