A Malaysian teen has reportedly committed suicide after asking her followers on an Instagram poll whether she should kill herself or not.
Although the number of people who voted for her to kill herself is unclear, approximately 69% of her followers voted in the affirmative, according to The Guardian.
This instance of suicide and mental illness has caused wide unrest in the political and social centers of Malaysia.

“Did the encouragement of those netizens actually influence her decision to take her own life? Since attempted suicide is an offence in this country, it follows that abetting one to attempt suicide may be, too.”
